This is Mabel.

This is my dog Mabel.

She is a cattle (red heeler)/pit mix, and she is arguably one of the best things about my life.

I adopted her in November of 2024 after years of wanting a dog, but finally moving to an apartment that would allow me to have one.

Her shelter profile said she was good with people, kids, and other dogs, and that was roughly 66% untrue. She’s GREAT with dogs, mediocre with people, and wants to herd children.

She is a spicy little potato, but she is MY spicy little potato, and she has been the single greatest addition to my adult life.

She is smart, sassy, loves the beach, is a decent paddleboarder, and is vehemently against the existence of the UPS.

She also goes by the names: Maybe, Mabes, Mabel Babel, Maybe Baby, Baby, Sweet Potato, Potato, Sweet P, Sweety Petey, Petey, Petey Dog, and “AH AH AH! Leave it!”
